Fluid Technology Workshop
Fresno, CA
December 9-10, 2008
(View as PDF)

The Fluid Fertilizer Foundation sponsored a Fluid Technology Workshop in Fresno, CA this past December 9-10, 2008. About 130 registrants participated in this first Fluid Fertilizer Foundation workshop to be held in California.

The workshop covered a wide array of topics important to those involved in developing crop nutrient programs for western agriculture. Speakers at the workshop ranged from University researchers and various private sector experts to agricultural consultants and fertilizer association leadership. Topics covered at the workshop included fluid fertilizer production, plant operational issues, storage tank maintenance, fluid fertilizer formulation and compatibilities, nutrient management with drip irrigation systems, agronomic performance, regulatory/industry updates and many others.

Special thanks are in order for all of the speakers at the workshop. Likewise, we wish to thank several companies for co-sponsoring the event with the Fluid Fertilizer Foundation. Sponsors included Brandt Consolidated, Tessenderlo-Kerley, J.R. Simplot, Wilbur-Ellis, Helena Chemical and Murray Equipment. Additionally the Foundation would like to recognize Rex Hopkins, Crop Production Services and Mike Orr, Specialty Process Consulting for their invaluable help in developing and promoting the program.

Details of the program can be found at the Fluid Fertilizer Foundation website (www.fluidfertilizer.com).  Please direct questions about this program to make suggestions for additional educational programs to (fluidfertilizer@sbcglobal.net).
